Urban Decay "Naked 3" Palette Review

I’ve never really been interested in pinkish/rosey colored eye shadows because my wardrobe is limited to a lot of neutral color (mostly black lol) and I tend to lean more toward neutral colors like browns/creams. However I have been loving the rosey hue of the Naked 3! These pinky toned colors are still perfectly neutral enough to wear with everything!
As per Urban Decay's usual, these colors are SUPER pigmented and wear beautifully throughout the day (even on my somewhat oily eyelids, without primer!). The colors range from light pretty pinks, to rose golds and beautiful browns with pink/rose undetones. The only color I had a bit of trouble getting total color pay off from was "Trick", which apparently lots of other people have trouble with too. I solved this little dilemma by rubbing my finger, as if I were swatching it, over the color several times. This basically took the top layer off and after that it was fine! I definitely wouldn't take to it with your tweezers, which I've seen other people do, it's not necessary! The only thing I notice that differs from the Naked 2, in terms of the actual product, is that there is much more fallout! These are definitely soft eye shadows so it’s important to tap the excess off your brush (something I never do with my Naked 2) before taking to your eyelid!
1. Blackheart 2. Darkside 3. Mugshot 4. Factory 5. Liar 6. Nooner 7. Trick 8. Buzz 9. Limit
10. Burnout 11. Dust 12. Strange

Overall, unless you don’t like rosey tinged colors, I don’t see what’s not to love about this palette. It’s perfect for every day wear, night time looks and especially Valentine’s Day! Which is right around the corner!(; This palette would be perfect for a soft, romantic eye or even a sexy, sultry look(; This palette is so versatile and I would highly, highly recommend it.
Find yours at Ulta, Sephora or on Urban Decay's website!

Liz Claiborne "Honey Satchel"

I don't know about you, but I love a good handbag. I especially love a good handbag that's reasonably priced. And I love a handbag even more when it's on sale. Several weeks ago I purchased the Liz Claiborne "Honey Satchel" from JC Penny. Since then it's been love. I've carried it every day since buying it. This handbag is extremely well made, sturdy and durable. It's roomy enough for me to fit everything I need, plus a few things that I probably don't, but not so spacious that I'm digging around like an idiot trying to find my keys. And if I dont have it filled with all my crap it still holds its shape quite nicely, which is important to me! It has lots of little pockets on the sides which I use to store my phone, sunglasses, lipstick, etc including a large zippered one. It also has a dropped detachable strap, which I absolutely love. I always leave it attached (even though I never carry it with the strap) because I think it looks really nice even while carrying it with the handles.

I purchased this bag in tan with gold hardware and I think it's absolutely beautiful, very high quality and well made. I adore it. It also comes in a black and a navy variation that I thought was gorgeous. (I almost bought both!)
This handbag originally retailed for $65.00 but I got it on sale for $32.00. I believe that this bag is still on sale and will most likely sell out soon, as a spring collection is due to come out! If you can find this bag I would highly recommend it! I'm in love!

This bag is sold out online at JC Penny but I would definitely try in store.

E.L.F. Cosmetics Studio Line Brush Review

So in case you haven't heard E.L.F. (Eyes, Lips, Face) Cosmetics is basically a ridiculously cheap makeup brand. Now Lindsey, what do you mean by ridiculously cheap? I'll tell you what I mean! I mean THREE DOLLARS will buy you anything from a brush to an eyeshadow palette. Yeah. So there has to be a catch, right? These products have to be complete garbage! Well.. not really. E.L.F. is a bit of a hit or miss. Some products are indeed, trash (I literally have just thrown things away), but some things are complete treasures! I'm talking need it in your life products! The first of those being the Studio Line Brushes. Do not get the "essential"-- TRASH. "Studio"--TREASURE.

The E.L.F. Studio Brushes are unbeatable for the price. I own several of them and for three dollars... you can't go wrong. I would even go so far as to say they are comparable to Real Techniques. I've used these brushes pretty regularly for about a year and washed them countless times.
-No Shedding
-No Falling Apart
-Good as New

Yes. I said it.  It's true.

Here are some of the brushes I own!

(Please excuse that I havent washed them, I just used them this morning!)

1. The Stipple Brush- I use this brush to apply my foundation. It works beautifully with any liquid foundation that I use it with and gives me great results. This is a must have brush!
2. The Flawless Concealer Brush- This brush is one of my cannot live without items. I use this everyday to blend out my undereye concealer. It is perfect. You could even use it to conceal other parts of the face. This is a must have brush!
3. The Complexion Brush- I own two of these brushes. One I use for bronzer, which gives lovely results because the brush is pinched at the base. The second I use for powder. I use this with my MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural to set my foundation and concealer. It's perfect for this because it's not too dense so you get a nice sheer coverage of powder. This is a must have brush!
4. The Angled Blush Brush- This is a very dense brush, so when applying cheek color a little product goes a long way. I feel like this brush does a good job of blending the color and getting it exactly where I want it.
5. The Small Stipple Brush- I only use this brush to blend out my Maybelline Age Defying Under Eye Concealer in the "Brightening" shade, which I use as a highlight. This blends out my highlight perfectly on my cheekbones, nose, cupids bow and forehead!
6. The Angled Contour Brush- I use this brush for an all over lid color. I also sometimes use it to highlight underneath my brow.
7. The eyeshadow C Brush- I use this to pack color onto specific parts of my eyelid, or on my entire eyelid. It does a great job of picking up and depositing color.
8. The Blush Brush- I have never used this for blush. I use it to apply powder highlighters. For example my NARS "Albatross". It's small enough for me to really get my highlight where I want it.
9. The Contour Brush- I use this brush for my crease, outer corner or inner corner to get a really concentrated placement of color on my eye.

I would definitely recommend each of these brushes. These brushes apply product fantastically and have held up for about a year. And they are three dollars...

People may be skeptical about buying these brushes because it seems too good to be true. I can tell you they are most definitely worth three dollars! But wait... they're cheaper than three dollars.
BECAUSE I HAVE A DISCOUNT CODE FOR YOU!

January Favorites

Hi, Everyone! I hope you had a lovely January! I have a couple of products that I have been absolutley loving this past month! The first being the Naked 3 Palette from Urban Decay, which can be purchased from Ulta, Sephora or Urban Decay's website. I got this as a Christmas gift from my mommy(: and I have used it literally almost everyday since!

My everyday eye, using all colors from this palette, has been "Strange" on the inner corner and brow highlight, "Burnout" as an all over lid color, "Buzz" in the center, a bit of "Liar" in the outer corner, "Nooner" in the crease, "Factory" to line my lower lashline and "Dust" patted on top after its all been blended out. I then take "Blackheart" on an angled brush and line my eyes as close to my upper lashline as possible for some definition. It's my perfect pinky/neutral everyday eye look!

My next favorite is the culmination of my Make Up Forever HD Primer (In 0 Neutral), Make Up Forever HD Foundation (in shade 120) and Make Up Forever HD Powder. I have been using this on my face everyday this past month. These products can all be purchased at Sephora. I will be doing a more in depth review and talk about how I apply it soon(:

This favorite is a skincare favorite. I love it because it is inexpensive but very effective. It's the Neutrogena Complete Acne Therapy System. It comes with three steps, a facial cleanser with salicylic acid (which is great for targetting blackeads and improving skin texture), acne control lotion (benzoyl peroxide), and an oil free lotion with SPF 15 for acne prone skin. I have solely used this for the past year. I just repurchased it yesterday for the THIRD TIME! If used correctly it really makes a world of difference. You can find this at Target or Walgreens.

Lastly, this month I have been loving the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer (WOW thats a long name!) in the"brightener/illuminater" shade. I sometimes use it under my eyes but mostly on my cheekbones, down the center of my nose, the center of my forehead, my cupids bow and on my chin as a highlighter and it's awesome. I just blend it out with a small stippling brush and im done! So easy and gives lovely results! You can probably find this anywhere! The drugstore, the grocey store, Ulta, Target etc.
